About This Dashboard
Disclaimer: This is a personal project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC). All financial figures are extracted programmatically from publicly available audits and IRS filings and have not been verified by MOFC. Use at your own discretion.
This dashboard was built to visualize the financial data published by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.
Why
Entirely out of curiosity.
What's Missing?
Opportunities. Turning insights from this dashboard into actions that increase impact
requires
more information than I have available; e.g., which expenses are relatively fixed versus which can be
decreased
with new tools, services, vendors, etc.?
Granularity. For example, MOFC serves many communities, and visualizing community-specific
impact may reveal opportunities that are not visible at the overall level.

Data Source
All data is extracted from MOFC's publicly available IRS Form 990 filings and annual audit reports (fiscal years 2019–2024). Each fiscal year runs July 1 – June 30; for example, "FY 2024" covers July 2023 through June 2024. 990 PDFs were processed via OCR and manually verified; audit PDFs are text-based and extracted programmatically. There still may be errors! If so, please let me know.
